And here we go again. The first month of the year flew by, and Valentines Day is right around the corner. Despite the recent distractions from our nation's capitol, I managed to stay somewhat productive.

I have another art opening coming up in mid February. It will show some of local landmarks. Jewelry making is fun, but it requires a lot of patience on my part. Delving back into painting will be a much needed relief for me after these weeks of intense focus. Metals vs. color pigments – two very different elements to work with. I realized that it's been over a year since I've been back in Los Angeles. I miss it. It hit me when the photos of Women's March in L.A. started flooding in my feed. I felt like I got left out on something important. It made me spend some time pondering about how a city becomes a part of your being, especially when you see it going from obscurity to notoriety over the course of your own lifetime, as did Downtown and Koreatown.
I'm due for a visit, I suppose.
